Scientific Conference of Genocide
The University of Duhok is honored to host the 5th International Scientific Conference of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Health, titled “Scientific Documentation of Anfal Crimes and Mass Graves—Towards International Recognition of the Genocide of the Kurdish People.”

UOD Contribution
The University of Duhok (UoD) is proud to serve as the host institution for the 5th International Scientific Conference of the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research and the Ministry of Health, held under the supervision of KRG Prime Minister Masrour Barzani. Led by the University President, Dr. Dawood Sulaiman Atrushi, who serves on the conference High Committee, UoD will convene scholars, practitioners, and policymakers at the UoD Convention Center (Malta Campus) on 28–29 October 2025.
UoD provides the academic infrastructure, logistical coordination, and research environment necessary to advance the theme—“Scientific Documentation of Anfal Crimes and Mass Graves: Towards International Recognition of the Genocide of the Kurdish People.” By bringing together government bodies, health institutions, civil society, and international partners, the University helps transform evidence into advocacy and strengthens the path toward global recognition and justice.
